Petpetpet

Petpetpets are tiny creatures that roam Neopia, considered by much of the world to be pests. Individual petpetpets will occasionally attach themselves to petpets, and will stay attached unless the petpet is removed from its Neopet. If that happens, they mysteriously vanish. Over the years, some people have begun to greatly enjoy petpetpets, and actively wish to attach one to a petpet. Petpetpets are fickle creatures, however, and it may take some time for one to choose to attach itself to a petpet.

Many Neopians, such as Eamann, still fight what they see as an infestation of petpets. Even among themselves, petpetpets do not always get along; a war between the Cooties and the Mootix has been immortalized in the game Cooty Wars.

Until September of 2014, petpetpet enthusiasts could also get their fill by using Habitariums, where they could raise Mootix, Larnikins, and Pinchits.

Petpetpet Trivia

• In 2012, an infestation of an unidentified species of petpetpet showed up and caused havoc during the annual Daily Dare competition!
• As of September 2014, there are 41 different species of petpetpet.

A Few Famous Petpetpets

• The Bug Brothers travel around Neopia stealing Neopoints from passerby. Recently their victims have started to fight back in the game Smug Bug Smite.
• Dug is a huge Larnikin, and is the largest petpetpet ever discovered in Petpet Park, and possibly in all of Neopia.
• Harry is a Mootix paratrooper, who is always ready to drop onto unsuspecting petpets.
• The Cooty Commando, meanwhile, aims to shoot down all Mootix paratroopers with his trusty crossbow.
• Clan Mootix is an elite group of petpetpet warriors, who may or may not be involved in the Cooty/Mootix war.
